Matt Turner

Expat financial advice, Europe

Matt is a founding partner of Meridia Wealth, specialising in financial advice for British and European expats living across the continent. He works with clients on savings, investments, pensions, cross-border planning and wealth structuring, with the firm's heaviest focus in France, Spain and Portugal.

His approach is the one the whole firm is built on: understand a client's full situation and risk appetite first, then build advice that fits the person rather than reaching for a product. For clients moving to Europe, that means a single point of contact for the financial side and a trusted network for everything else.

Remy Hart

Expat financial advice, Europe
Ranked Top Wealth Manager, Europe

Remy spent seven years trading financial markets independently before moving into advice full time. He rose from financial planner to partner within his first year, and in one full quarter was ranked the top wealth manager in Europe across a firm of more than five hundred advisers.

He has lived as a UK expat in Marbella since 2018, which is exactly why his advice sounds less like theory. He has made the same pension and tax decisions his clients are weighing, and now advises British and European expats on pensions, cross-border tax residency and wealth structuring.

Jacob Shelton

For clients with American connections

Jacob heads the US arm of Meridia Wealth, working exclusively with American citizens living abroad. Being a US person carries a distinct set of rules on retirement accounts, tax reporting and what you are even allowed to invest in, and it is not something a local European adviser typically knows how to navigate.

He advises on 401(k) and IRA decisions once you have left the US, FATCA and PFIC aware investment structuring, and planning around the relevant US tax treaties, so an American client's finances stay compliant and efficient on both sides of the Atlantic.

What we stand for

Client first, full stop

Meridia Wealth exists to put the client first. That means advice that suits your situation and your appetite for risk, not a product being pushed to hit a target.

It also means seeing an expat's finances as a whole, savings, investments, pensions, tax and structure together, rather than one product at a time. We arrange the financial assets ourselves, and lean on a large network of professional partners for the rest of the move.

Advice, not products

Recommendations are built around you. If something isn't right for your situation, we say so.

One partner, ongoing

You work with the same named partner as your life abroad changes, not a rotating call centre.

A holistic view

Your whole financial picture in one place, so decisions are made with everything in sight.

Qualified and accountable

All advisers are qualified, and a strong back office stands behind every piece of advice.
